There people who think that Anatoly Samarin is austere, there are people who think that he is timid, there are people... It is them who are depicted in his cartoons, cartoons that make smile everybody.

Born in Gubakha city in Perm oblast Anatoly Mikhailovich Samarin lived in Korkino city in Chelyabinsk oblast until graduation from high school after which he worked in an auto service. After service with the army in Krasnoyarsk-26 he graduated from Miass automechanical technical (secondary) school and... returned to Krasnoyarsk krai enchanted by Siberia.

In Sosnovoborsk he worked at the trailer factory as a fitter, technologist, for eighteen years - service forms and records engineer making operational manuals for trailer machinery, prepared catalogues of spares. When tired of drawing trailer units and mechanisms he drew friendly jests to entertain his co-workers.

Since 1992 Anatoly Samarin is the artist of Sosnovoborsk municipal paper "Rabochy". His drawings are published by other papers and magazines. Not indifferent to the living nature many of the artist`s works are devoted to ecological problems. Since 1989 Anatoly Samarin collaborates with Krasnoyarsk Regional Ecological Movement. His works were published in underground paper issued by the Krasnoyarsk green. The sketch-book in your hands is the results of the collaboration of Anatoly Samarin with ecological activists.
